Job Location:

Educational Qualifications:
a) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from recognized polytechnic or National Trade
Certificate in the trade of Machinist Mechanical/Marine Machinist Mechanical or Diesel /
Motor Mechanic or Machinist or Welder issued by National Council of Training in Vocational
Trade, Ministry of Labour, Government of India (NCTVT) or by the Industrial Training Institute of
State Government (ITI).
OR
Two years Trade Apprentice certificate from the marine workshop in the trade of Machinist
Mechanical or Diesel / Motor Mechanic or Machinist.
b) Candidate should be proficient in any of these below.
i) Welding and Cutting
ii) Fabrication and proficiency in fitting.

iii) Lathe, drill, and machine operation.
iv) Ship-related maintenance work.
c) Candidate must be in possession of Indian CDC & Passport, which should be valid for at least
One year from date of selection.
d) Candidate must be in possession of PAN Card & INDOS NO.
e) The candidate may be in possession of Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security
Duties (STSDSD) from DG approved Institute.
f) Candidate must be in possession of 4 mandatory certificates as per STCW 2010 from DG
approved Institutes.
I. Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting.
II. Personal Survival Techniques.
III. Elementary First Aid.
IV. Personal Safety and Social Responsibility.
g) The candidate may be in possession of the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training course.
Otherwise, a candidate has to do this course after selection if posted in OSVs.
h) The candidate may be in possession of a valid Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from his native place
issued by an officer, not below the rank of superintendent of police. Such PCC shall have
been issued within a period not exceeding 3 months from the date of selection. Otherwise,
candidate have to bring this PCC after selection.
Pay Scale (Salary):
Successfully Selected Candidates candidates will Get Salary Rs. 10,000/- per Month as Per Regulations of SCI
Age Limit:
Maximum Age: 30 Years. Age Relaxations will be provided for SC/ST/BC/PwD and Other Reserved Contenders.
