SSC JHT 2022: SSC JHT stands for Staff Selection Commission Junior Hindi Translator in full. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds a national level exam for the employment of Junior Hindi Translators in various ministries and departments of the Indian government. The SSC JHT is held once a year and is divided into two phases (papers). Candidates must pass all stages of the selection process in order to be recruited as Junior Hindi Translators. They are shortlisted for Paper-II after passing Paper I, and after passing PaperII, candidates are shortlisted for document verification.

Eligibility for SSC JHT:

Nationality: Candidates applying for the SSC Junior Hindi Translator position must meet the following requirements:

a citizen of India, or Bhutanese topic, or Nepalese subject, or

A Tibetan refugee (who arrived in India before January 1, 1962) or a Tibetan immigrant

A person of Indian descent who has moved to India permanently from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, Vietnam, and other places.

If an applicant is not an Indian citizen, he or she must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Indian government in his or her favor; otherwise, the offer of appointment will be withdrawn.

Educational Qualifications for SSC JHT Eligibility

  • Junior Translator in the Central Secretariat Official Language Service (CSOLS), Junior Translator in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), Junior Translator in the Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ), and Junior Translator/Junior Hindi Translator have different educational qualifications.

Steps to Fill SSC JHT Application Form 2022 Online

The SSC JHT 2022 application form can only be completed online mode. First-time applicants must register on the official SSC website. The SSC JHT application consists of two parts: a one-time registration and an online application.

The SSC Junior Hindi Translator syllabus differs between Paper 1 and Paper 2. However, both papers test the candidate’s knowledge, proficiency, and understanding of Hindi and English.
